Intervention Pathway: Reading Intensive
If your child is not meeting grade-level expectations for reading, then intervention is necessary. Reading skills DO NOT magically improve on their own and Ms. Amber is specially trained to support readers who may be struggling. The Intensive Reading Intervention program requires learners to participate in 2 non-consecutive 55-minute sessions. We guarantee measurable growth in 12 weeks or your next 8 session are free!. Orton-Gillingham methodology is used with this program.
A free parent consultation is required before being admitted in this course.
Prevention Pathway: Ready Readers
This course was specially created for children who attend a half-day kindergarten or Pre-K program. Former kindergarten teacher and certified Curriculum and Instruction Specialist, Ms. Amber, has designed this program to supplement, remediate, and/or enrich learners.
Learners will participate in two 1-hour small group Structured Literacy sessions per week with Ms. Amber to develop skills in phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, concepts of print, reading fluency, high frequency words ("sight words") handwriting, comprehension, and other skills that are critical for future reading success.
Elements of Montessori and Orton-Gillingham are included in our work.
All materials are provided by Empower Education Services.
AM SESSION meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-10:30am
PM SESSION meets Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-1:30pm
Enrollment for this course is open and on-going.
Learners who join mid-month will receive a prorated rate.
Multiplication Bootcamp (small group)
If memorizing those multiplications facts has your child feeling stressed, then we have the perfect small-group solution for you! In this 60-minute game-based course, your child will participate in a variety of FUN activities that are designed to improve knowledge of basic
multiplication facts (0-12), as well as improve speed and accuracy.
This course caps at 5 learners.
This course operates on a MONTHLY term.
Cost: $175 per month
Meets: Mondays from 6-6:55pm
Enrollment for this course is open and on-going.
Learners who join mid-month will receive a prorated rate.
*We allow 1 make-up credit per month should your child sick or miss class. Make-up credit is good for one 30 minute 1:1 session with Ms. Amber.
Advanced Numeracy (small group)
If basic facts are no problem for you, then Advanced Numeracy may be just what you're looking for! In this course, we will combine the four mathematical operations to solve challenging tasks and problems in a game-based format.
Productive struggles will be encountered in this course and your learner will be supported as they solve challenges on their own or in small groups. This course aims to provide opportunities to develop problem-solving skills, higher-order thinking skills, and resiliency while supporting the application of learned math skills.
This course caps at 5 learners.
Recommended for grades 3-6.
Prerequisite: Learners should have strong abilities to quickly and accurately recall math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).

General Tutoring (1:1)
We offer tutoring for a variety of subject areas.
Sessions are 55-minutes long and held at our Wexford office or over Zoom. All tutoring sessions are taught by PA certified educators.
A free parent consultation is required before being scheduled for tutoring.
